I FEEL LIKE I LIVE IN THIS SHIRT THESE DAYS

Tee: Old Navy

We meet again! See that .gif up there? Yeah it took me like an hour to make. Photoshop CS6 is so difficult to navigate - especially since I'm terrible at Photoshop in general. But I figured it out almost all by myself.
Something I want to talk about is simply this: Stuff you wear so much you're paranoid people think it's the only thing you own. And really, let's be honest, sometimes it is.
Personally, when I get something new I am genuinely EXCITED because that meant that I bought something and took the tag off without worrying that I will have to take it back five days later so I can put gas in my car (this happens all too frequently), which must mean that it's beyond special.
For instance, this shirt. It's the perfect blend of vintage-knockoff and baseball park that it's actually appropriate for a lot of things. School, Casual dates, work shifts at your part-time job, margaritas with your pals, and even lounging about eating kettle corn at two a.m. Plus it's uber soft and looks great with chucks, flops, or flats. I'm letting you know all this so that when you see me in it a million times this summer you won't judge quite as much as you may have if I hadn't.
So, as I was waiting on my paycheck this afternoon, I stumbled into Target searching for a mouse pad and some post-it notes. Again, that dollar section got me and I left with a journal, a small gold and turquoise chevron tote, and after wandered into the party section, a bag of confetti. Glad I still got my mousepad and sticky notes. I still didn't get my paycheck. Just sayin'.
And I'm happy to say that this is maybe the first week of my life that I haven't had a list of stuff I needed to get on payday. I got enough of everything, including bills, so I think my soul is finding peace in simplicity... and the decision to stay in and piddle on my iMac instead of spending gobs of moolah on things that will be used up (or eaten) in a matter of days (or minutes).

Until then.
